Correction...NYU is really no different than high school. Although NYU is probably the best school ever at least for us film students, it also comes with the high price of being different from practically every other college in the nation. It's mixed in with a huge city. We don't get to have a football team or huge Greek base. We're cut off from a lot of others.

I'm sure you'll find new friends though. I bet you have some from Frame and Sequence. Another plus, graduating friends (if they're from Tisch) means you might have some pull for those entering into the film industry.

As for the boredom, a job helps...and making movies. I'm working and producing right now. It kind of keeps everything from slowing down too much :)

Watch Trust the Man. It might change your mind about romantic comedies (at least the unrealistic bit).

Given, I’m speaking mainly for my straight friends here, considering the only remotely accurate attempt I’ve seen at representing a gay relationship in the media has been on ER, and they were both dead by the end of the episode.

Your cynicism makes me laugh out loud.

I appreciate you watching it! I'm always amazed at what the other people in my class are able to come up with, using only stills. Here at NYU, they're very much about reducing us back down to the basics, so we unlearn everything we thought we knew about film making before... haha.

Excellent job man. I've not seen a still photo film feel so genuinely dramatic before. Congrats.

That sucks. I would shout out the name of the establishment, so people know what establishments are ripping off the the students. We have a voice, lets use it!!! I am curious to know where it was, so I can steer clear!

I don't think I'll get a chance to do anything like that this next month, but I am looking at internships at the Web Desks of some newspapers. That's right along the lines of the type of web development I've been interested in for a while, so hopefully (if it goes through), I'll get some more real-world experience :P
